Judge Sandra Bryant is a passionate public servant, dedicated to making a difference in the lives of Hays County residents. Elected in 2022, she brings over two decades of leadership, mentorship, and community advocacy to the bench — and she’s just getting started.
A proud veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve and a lifelong advocate for youth and families, Judge Bryant blends compassion with accountability in every decision she makes. Her courtroom handles everything from evictions and small claims to juvenile and criminal matters, and she remains on-call 24/7 to conduct inquests in a county without a medical examiner.

As a Justice of the Peace for Precinct 5, my responsibility is simple but profound: treat every person who enters my courtroom with dignity, fairness, and respect.
Justice of the Peace courts are often called the people’s court and I take that responsibility seriously. Whether assisting self-represented individuals, supporting families during difficult moments, or working with youth to encourage accountability and growth, I strive to lead with compassion while upholding the laws of Texas fairly and consistently. While judges cannot provide legal advice, I am committed to maintaining a court environment that is transparent, appropriate resources, and a respectful, accessible process for all.
I am honored to serve the Hays County (Buda) community and remain committed to efficient courts, community engagement, and youth-focused solutions that strengthen families and neighborhoods.

Justice is more than what happens in the courtroom — it’s about prevention, education, and support.
That’s why I’ve championed and overseen juvenile diversion initiatives that give youth second chances and positive alternatives. I’ve supported evidence-based programs like:

Rezilient Kidz: Raising Highly Capable Kids– equipping families with tools to build stronger homes.

Botvin LifeSkills Training – teaching students critical decision-making and life-management skills.

Juvenile Diversion Coordination – helping young people avoid deeper involvement in the justice system and get back on track (HB 3186) but still hold them accountable.

Mentored students across Hays County, investing in youth development and future leadership.

Provided resources to the community, including free notary services, court education, and outreach programs.
